Wanting to sell a gold pocket watch and chain, I searched first for auction houses, and the highest estimate was £3000. Fees and commission would have reduced this figure considerably, with no guarantee of achieving the highest valuation. I contacted Daniel by e-mail yesterday and he came out today to look at Mum's jewellery, that she no longer wanted to wear.
