Valuing Van Cleef & Arpels Jewellery

To determine the selling price of a piece of Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery, our expert will look at a range of different factors, including:

    • Age: The age of a Van Cleef & Arpels piece can significantly impact its value. Vintage or antique pieces may hold greater value due to their rarity and historical significance.
    • Condition: The jewellery’s condition, including any signs of wear or damage, is crucial in assessing its value. Pieces that are well-maintained and in pristine condition typically command higher prices.
    • Rarity: The rarity of a Van Cleef & Arpels piece can greatly influence its value. Collectors often prize limited edition designs, discontinued collections, or one-of-a-kind creations and may fetch higher prices in the market.
    • Provenance: The provenance or documented history of a Van Cleef & Arpels piece can add to its allure and value. Pieces with a notable provenance, such as being owned by a prominent figure or featured in a significant event, may command premium prices at auctions or among collectors.

What a fantastic company! Like other reviewers, I was a little nervous about a home visit, but Daniel was such a joy to chat to: on email he replied quickly to arrange a visit, and in person he was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the job. We looked through my various items (including furniture, flatware and jewellery) and he was really forthcoming about why particular items weren't of interest while others were, suggesting also that I kept hold of some items if their personal significance was higher than their value. We itemised everything and the payment transfer went through before he left! All in all such a stellar service – I'd absolutely recommend anyone to contact Daniel with their valuables.
